Pentland Community Enterprises is the commercial subsidiary of Cairn Housing Association. It currently forms part of the Cairn Housing Group, made up of Cairn Housing Association, Ancho and Pentland Community Enterprises.
We oversee a portfolio that includes around 340 garages spread across Thurso, Inverness and Ardersier, as well as overseeing 20 mid-market rental properties in Caithness and Inverness. Additionally, we manage 11 full-market rental properties in Glasgow and provide expert factoring services to 35 owners in Thurso.
In April 2022, Pentland Housing Association merged with Cairn Housing Association through a transfer of engagements. As part of this transition, the Group chose to retain the name of Pentland's subsidiary and combine it with Cairn's subsidiary, Cairn Living. Initially, these services were managed by a part-time member of staff. However, in April 2023, we appointed a full-time Commercial Manager, supported by a part-time Operations Assistant, to propel the business forward. Additionally, we have successfully assembled a Board of Directors, now complete with six members who bring diverse expertise to support our growth and mission.
